Medical Assistant 2.6 2.6 out of 5 stars Boynton Beach, FL 33437 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic medical environment. This position involves working closely with healthcare professionals to support patient needs, ensuring efficient operations within the practice, and delivering exceptional service to our patients. Responsibilities Manage exam rooms (Stock and maintain cleanliness at all times, ensuring room readiness for patient care.) Room patients (Document medical and surgical history, medications and allergies, and reason for visit.) Scribe exam for provider in patient’s chart. Assist provider with procedures. (This includes surgical incisions, biopsies, Mohs procedures, curette & destruction, etc. Ensure all specimens are labeled correctly. Ensure biopsies and cultures are sent to correct lab per insurance company requirements.) Complete patient encounter documentation in medical record. Send prescriptions to pharmacies in a timely manner. Independently perform specific procedures under provider supervision. (This includes Lightbox, Photo Dynamic Therapy, Unna Boots, Wound Care, and Suture Removal.) Respond to and document patient calls expediently and with attention to detail. Participate in OSHA and HIPAA training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Proficiency in EHR systems, ideally with EMA. Proficiency in medical terminology. Demonstrable patient care and service skills. Knowledge of physiology and vital signs monitoring Experience in dermatology, ideally including cosmetics. Company-Wide Expectations Be a team player.
