Personal Physician Care islooking for a Medical Assistant to join our team!

Medical AssistantDuties and Responsibilities:

Effectively communicate with patientsduring an office visit as well as returning phone calls and emailsthroughout the workday. Provide medical routine services such aselectrocardiograms, injections, and ear lavages. Support medicalstaff and patients in synchronizing appointments, authorizations,and tests taking place at various off-site healthcare facilitiesCoordinate and update patient charts through electronic medicalrecords Accurately and timely update records to ensure all partieshave accurate information Provide support to providers regardinginitial medical assessments Assist with the identification andreporting of potential quality management issues-Other duties asassigned from time-to-time

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

Musthave at least 2 years of experience working as a medical assistant.

Must be PROFICIENT and comfortable with phlebotomy, administeringinjections, and taking vitals. Must have proficient computer skillsand be comfortable with EMR, emedical Practice Knowledge preferred.

Must possess a positive attitude, medical knowledge, be energeticand demonstrate both excellent customer service and polishedcommunication skills. Must also be detail-oriented, exceptionallyorganized, able to follow directions, accept correction,multi-task, and work as part of a team. Knowledge of medicationsand Surescripts is a plus. Knowledge of MRA coding, HEDIS, WellnessVisits, and Meaningful Use is a plus. 8. Bilingual (Spanish) isalso a plus.
