The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within our facility, which is in a medical practice. You will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in delivering efficient patient service, ensuring that all medical procedures are conducted smoothly and safely. Duties Administer medications as prescribed (IM injections if needed) by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare staff and document patient information accurately. Assist with EKG and spirometry, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and patient comfort. Facilitate patient care by preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, and performing basic clinical tasks (confirming medications on every visit) Maintain organized patient records and assist in scheduling appointments to optimize patient flow (We use Athena EMR) Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance the overall patient experience through excellent service. Experience Previous experience in a medical assistant role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with medication administration and understanding of medical terminology is highly desirable. Experience working in a private practice and experience with dementia patients will be considered an asset. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
