Medical Assistant – Boca Raton, FL Proactive Medical Care Boca Raton, FL 33431 Position Summary Proactive Medical Care is a wellness and preventive care focused practice, located in Boca Raton, FL. We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant role is to help the medical team provide patient care under the direct supervision of the physician. Primary Responsibilities Greet and room patients Take vital signs Obtain a basic medical history from the patient and enter that information into the Electronic Medical Record system Administer blood draws, urinalysis, injections Administer routine diagnostic tests Speak with other physician offices, pharmacies, insurance companies over the phone Speak with patients, go over lab/radiology results Schedule patient appointment, perform billing, collect payment Helping fulfill prescription refills Ordering medical supplies and maintaining inventory Qualifications Medical Assistant certification or equivalent (Preferred) Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience (Required), preferably in a Medical Assistant role Venipuncture experience (Preferred) Benefits Health insurance Competitive pay Opportunity for growth
