Daughtery Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering excellent patient experiences. Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and providers with patient care and procedures
- Record patient histories and take vital signs
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms
- Administer medications as directed and within scope
- Maintain accurate medical records in the EMR system
- Maintain and keep track of medical supplies inventory
- Perform administrative duties as assigned
- At the end of the shift a light cleaning of the work areas and restrooms
- Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and practice policies at all times Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of urgent care practices, clinic operations, and Level I Trauma Center protocols is advantageous. Proficiency in basic life support techniques is required. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical-surgical procedures is essential. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
