This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and procedures. You will perform front and back-office duties. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently. Work up patients, measure vital signs, scribing, and assist the physician. Schedule appointments. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient inquiries or directing them to manager. Medicare claims processing and assist patients with billing inquiries. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to assist in patient interactions effectively. Support administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and inventory management. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of Dermatology practices is beneficial. Understanding of Geriatrics care is advantageous. Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals alike. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate patient schedules. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and certification from an accredited school of training. Familiar with medical terminology and ICD 10 and CPT coding.
