Job Description
Medical Assistant Prawer Medical Group 5101 Brittany Drive South, Saint Petersburg, FL 33715 Prawer Medical Group healthcare professionals combine experience, expert knowledge, and compassion to provide outstanding service to their patients and their families. We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, outgoing, organized healthcare professional to join our team in providing direct patient care and assisting our providers before, during and after patient encounters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Triaging and rooming patients for examination. Ensuring all relevant documents, labs, imaging, and records are available for provider review. Obtaining and documenting chief complaints, medical, social, and family histories, and vital signs. Performing phlebotomy, EKG’s, injections, specimen collection and other procedures. Assisting physician during treatment/procedures, examinations, and testing of patients. Completing prescription refill request. Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and other patient care areas. Review incoming records, preparing documents for physician signatures. Scheduling appointments, coordinating care with specialist offices. Perform other general duties as assigned.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Medical Assistant Certification from approved entity or relevant work experience One year of clinical experience in a primary care setting. One year of EClinical Works electronic medical records experience. Availability to work clinic hours Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Knowledge of medical terminology and commonly used medications. Ability to multitask. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
