Medical Assistant Patient Care:
Preparing patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and measuring height and weight. Assisting physicians with patient examinations and procedures. Collecting blood and other specimens for laboratory tests. Administering medications as directed by a physician. Educating patients on care instructions and follow-up measures. Performing basic wound care.
Administrative Support:
Scheduling patient appointments and managing patient records. Answering phones and greeting patients. Maintaining inventory of medical supplies. Performing bookkeeping tasks.
Clinical Support:
Setting up and monitoring EKG equipment. Performing basic lab tests, such as urinalysis or blood glucose tests. Sterilizing instruments and patient rooms. Assisting with patient triage.
Skills Required:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment. Proficiency in computer skills. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
Educational Requirements:
