Qualifications:
High School Diploma Medical Assistant Diploma, Registered Medical Assistant license or MA Certification required Prior experience as a Medical Scribe preferred
Key Responsibilities :
To provide excellent customer service to all patients, visitor and coworkers Obtains all necessary information from patient medical records and ensures all information for the patient’s visit is available to provider during the patient visit Retrieves patient’s digital films from Medview system during clinic for physician review. Ensures that zones are adequately stocked for the clinic, including medical supplies and prescriptions. Escorts the patients into the exam rooms. Transcribe accurate, detailed patient information into medical records for the provider during the patient visit. Assists the physician during visit with injections, suture removal, dressing changes, etc. Prepares prescriptions and patient education materials. Ensures that the patient understands the physician’s instructions for sample medications and follow-up care. Breakdown of patient charts with appropriate disposal of PHI, completion and scanning of patient forms Cleans all exam rooms, ensuring red bags and sharps boxes are replaced if applicable. Re-stocks all exam rooms and MA station for the next day clinic.
