COVID. JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Relevé Sports Medicine Practice Manager and Clinical Leader, this is a full-time position with the following responsibilities, which include clinical and administrative tasks: 1. Clinical duties in the office include performing a thorough medical history on each patient resulting in obtaining the history of the injury/condition, current pain level assessment, past medical history, review of medications and allergies, and how quality of life is affected. 2. Performance of educational responsibilities in clinic are specific to the needs of each individual patient, including exercise instruction and demonstration, answering patient questions regarding their treatment plan, rehabilitation and future care. 3. Prepare the injection equipment and assist the physician with injection procedures done in the office. 4. Clerical duties in the office (as needed) include assisting the RSM Practice Manager and administrative team with checking in patients, verifying insurance, answering the phone, obtaining authorizations for advanced imaging, sending orders to imaging facilities and ensuring they are received and patients are scheduled within a timely manner, requesting medical records (as needed), reviewing faxes that are incoming/outgoing, and sending completed notes to primary care physicians, if applicable. 5. Serve as a clinical resource for front desk and other administrative personnel. 6. It is preferred if the candidate has an interest in obtaining further training as a basic machine operator for x-ray acquisition, phlebotomy for the purpose of PRP injections, and casting. Certification in these skills are associated with increased pay.
