- Reimbursement for clinical position certifications The role you’ll contribute: The Medical Assistant provides appropriate care to patients within the scope of
Florida Statues Title XXXII:
Regulations of Professionals and Occupations. Chapter 458. Medical Assistants assist in various aspects of medical practice until the direct supervisor and responsibility of a physician.
Responsibilities may include:
patient care management, administrative and clinical procedures, managerial and supervisory function. In all practice endeavors the medical Assistant will adhere to ethical and professional practice. The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Reviews appointment bookings in advance and ensure patients receive appointment reminders
- Verify and validate insurance prior to appointment date.
- Completes check in process, securing copays and balance amounts.
- Verifies consent forms are completed and up to date.
- Maintains timely flow of patients and keep patients up to date of any delays.
- Responds to and returns in-coming telephone calls in a timely manner. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience with customer service
- A minimum of 9 months clinical experience within the past 3 years a role outlined below OR current enrollment or recent completion of a Medical Assistant program:
- Firefighter/medic EMT
- CNA
- Nursing student, program in progress
- Ophthalmologist technician
- BMO
- Noncertified MA
- Pharmacy Technologist
- Or an equivalent clinical role
