Our office is expanding and we’re looking for a medicalassistant to help us provide first-class patient care! You’ll beresponsible for greeting patients and scheduling appointments andwork directly with our healthcare staff to record patienthistories, collect test samples, and assist with examinations. Ourideal candidate has some experience working in a medical officeperforming clinical tasks or in an administrative role and knowshow to build an excellent rapport with people. Responsibilities:
  • Put together insurance forms, noting patient symptoms,diagnoses, test results, treatment instructions, and prescriptionsin the patient records
  • Welcome patients to the office, take telephone calls, scheduleappointments, and answer questions about treatment or prescriptionrefills to ensure an excellent patient experience
  • Take the patient’s vital signs including their pulse, bodytemperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure and record it intheir chart
  • Get examination rooms ready for patients by ensuring the roomsare well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and all equipmentis sterilized
  • Draw blood and prepare blood samples for laboratory tests
Qualifications:
  • Solid communication and customer service skills
  • Ability use a computer to complete administrative tasks
  • Graduated from high school or received GED
  • Completed an accredited medical assisting program and anexternship in a supervised healthcare setting
  • At least 1 year of previous experience as a medical assistantperforming administrative duties or similar role in a healthcarework environment
