The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing essential administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of medical terminology, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring a positive patient experience. Duties Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers. Verify patient information and insurance details prior to appointments. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Assist with medical administrative support tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations. Handle incoming calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and office policies. Prepare examination rooms and assist with basic patient care as needed. Support medication administration processes under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Collaborate with various departments including dermatology, urgent care, internal medicine, and hospital medicine. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus. Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of anatomy, medical-surgical procedures, and terminology related to dermatology and urgent care is beneficial. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is an advantage.
