The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a clinical setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and various specialties, including geriatrics and dermatology. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient service and support the overall operations of the practice. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information. Administer medications as directed by physicians. Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with X-ray procedures when necessary. Provide outpatient care by educating patients on treatment plans and follow-up care. Handle medical administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Experience or familiarity with geriatrics, dermatology, outpatient care, PICU, OR, or X-ray procedures is preferred. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Proficient in medical administrative support tasks such as record keeping and appointment scheduling. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating professionalism and empathy. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
