Our clinic was founded in 2012; however, we have been providing Primary care Services since 2007 with a huge patient satisfaction rate. We offer numerous medical and urgent care services to suit your family’s needs. With multiple examination rooms equipped with modern examination beds and equipment, our highly experienced providers and medical professionals are available to provide high-quality care for a variety of conditions, illnesses, and injuries. The Medical Assistant supports Xpress Urgent Care by assisting with administrative and clinical duties at our practices while embodying the mission of the organization. The role of each Medical Assistant is to be responsible for obtaining accurate patient records and test results, coordinating daily administrative and clinical tasks, preparing and sterilizing treatment rooms for examinations, providing exemplary customer service, and assisting our providers. Essential Duties 1. Obtaining and recording accurate patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality. 2. Ensure every day all related reports, labs and documents are filed and available in patient’s medical chart prior to their visit. 3. Coordinating the daily administrative and clinical activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance. 4. Preparing and sterilizing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting provider with medical procedures and other patient care. 5. Prepare patient charts prior to patient visit. 6. Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required, and maintain tidiness. 7. Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
Education:
Must have certification from a medical assistant program. High School Diploma or equivalent required. CPR/BLS certification is preferred.
Experience:
One to two years of experience in medical field is preferred. Knowledge of government CMS regulatory requirements is preferred. Medical Terminology. Organizational skills with focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow.
Computer literate:
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required. eClinicalWorks electronic medical records system knowledge a plus.
