  • : Rotating schedule, two days on, two days off(Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm), split Fridays (usually 8am-2pm or2pm-8pm), alternate weekends (required to work every other weekend,hours are 8am-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays), and some holidays.

  • The role you’ll contribute:
  • Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of theProviders, the Medical Assistant cares for patients and performs awide variety of patient care activities.

Adheres to state, federaland organizational guidelines to ensure quality care and patientsafety with support from the Clinical Excellence team. Is essentialin maintaining organization and facilitating patient flow. Activelyparticipates in outstanding customer service and acceptsresponsibility in maintaining relationships that are equallyrespectful to all.

+ Drives customer service initiatives by creating and owning thepatient experience + Performs properly and legibly documents and reports allprocedures and assessments in accordance with departmentpolicy. + Utilizing age-specific guidelines, assesses patient duringclinical check-in, documents pertinent medical information andvital signs. Assesses for signs of abuse or neglect. + Performs and administers treatments, medications and anyfollow-up assessments ordered by the provider, verifying as needed.

Responds appropriately in clinical emergencies and triagesituations + Performs diagnostic and occupational medicine testing to include,but not limited to, EKG, spirometry, audiometry, titmus and pulseoximetry. Completes forensic testing collections in accordance withDepartment of Transportation (DOT) and Florida Drug Free WorkplaceGuidelines. This may include urine drug screens, blood/breathalcohol testing, oral fluids and hair testing.

  • :•Minimum qualifications:•+ •High School Diploma or equivalent•+ •Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program withcompletion of externship•or •1 year of related work experienceor 6 months relevant experience within an AdventHealthfacility•+ •Certified Medical Assistant (CMA•AAMA•+ •CPR•Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation•+ •Continued maintenance of BAT certification after hire•+ •Continued maintenance of Drug Screen Certification afterhire•+ •Must be currently certified and maintain certification by oneof the following:•+ •American Medical Certification Association (“AMCA”) forClinical Medical Assistant Certification•+ •American Medical Technologists (“AMT”) for Registered MedicalAssistant•+ •National Association for Health Professionals (“NAHP”) forNationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant•+ •National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for NationalCertified Medical Assistant•+ •National Health Career Association (“NHA”) for RegisteredClinical Medical Assistant•+ •American Allied Health (“AAH”) for Nationally Certified MedicalAssistant•+ •Certified Clinical Medical Assistant from National PerformanceSpecialists (NPS)•+ •National Certification Medical Association (“NCMA”) forRegistered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist•+ •
