Description Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant willperform various services and related activities in support ofpatient care including accurate data entry for patient registrationand insurance verification. The Certified Medical Assistantdemonstrates the ability to use good judgment and communicateseffectively with all patients; families; licensed personnel;insurance companies and third-party payers. Demonstrates aprofessional and caring manner.

Competencies:
Leader ofSelf, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Assisting thephysicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in givingsuperior medical care. Accurate Data Entry of charges on patientaccounts, registering patients, and updating patient accounts.
Insurance Verification and recording of Statistics. Assist withscheduling patient appointments, answering phones, keepingproviders informed of changes, and informing patients of theirbenefits. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
Experience 1 year of medical office experience preferred. Licenses,Registrations, or Certifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)certification is required. BLS required.
