In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and processing drug samples in a professional and confidential manner. Your primary focus will be ensuring the integrity of the testing process while providing excellent patient care. You will work in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain compliance with medical standards. Duties Collect urine, saliva, or hair samples for drug testing in accordance with established protocols. Ensure proper identification and documentation of each sample to maintain chain of custody. Educate patients on the drug testing process and address any questions or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the collection area to ensure a safe environment. Collaborate with medical staff to interpret results and follow up on any abnormal findings. Stay updated on relevant medical terminology and procedures related to drug testing. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines within hospital or clinic settings. Skills Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism. Familiarity with medical terminology related to internal medicine, dermatology, emergency medicine, and hospital protocols. Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Proficient understanding of systems used for sample collection and processing. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals effectively. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in sample collection and documentation.
