Attention:
Must be Bilingual for this position. Please note that on those candidates that are bilingual in English and Spanish will be considered. Position Summary Patient check in, measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), record patient chief complaint/ reason for office visit. Check out patients with MD and may schedule labs, radiology exams and other testing ordered by MD and/or escort patient’s to check out for procedure scheduling. Educate patients regarding conditions, procedures, preps, and medications per physician orders. Call in prescriptions and/or refills when needed and approved by physicians. Cleaning and restocking exam rooms. Assist MD with exams. Obtain prior authorizations as needed regarding patient prescriptions. Restocking sample closet and ensuring no expired medications in sample closet. Accurately document information in medical record. Ability to travel to satellite offices when needed and rotate positions as needed. May review dictations, labs and x-rays in a timely manner. Scans test results, PCP/referring physician records and ay clinical documentation into EMR. Act as liaison between medical staff, patients and families while ensuring HIPAA regulations are followed. Prep Charts within 48 hours by way of EMR and retrieves records from PCP or referring physicians.
