Triage Medical Assistant – Full Time Pain Care, LLC. Newnan, GA 30265 •Workdays are Monday-Friday. Position Summary The Clinical Triage Medical Assistant is responsible for assessing and prioritizing patient needs to ensure timely and appropriate medical intervention. The specialist utilizes clinical knowledge and decision-making skills to triage calls, provide initial guidance, and facilitate referrals or follow-up actions. The role involves evaluating symptoms, coordinating care, managing inquiries, and facilitating referrals, ensuring efficient patient flow and appropriate care based on urgency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Conduct patient interviews to collect detailed medical information, and measure vital signs, weight, and height, ensuring comprehensive data for effective care. Set up and maintain treatment rooms, keeping them clean, organized, and ready for patient examinations to promote a safe and welcoming environment. Collect and accurately log laboratory specimens, following proper procedures for handling and documentation. Provide detailed presentations of patient information to healthcare providers before examinations to facilitate informed decision-making. Safeguard patient information by maintaining confidentiality, securing medical records, and accurately completing diagnostic and procedure coding. Facilitate safe and efficient patient transitions from intake to examination rooms, ensuring a smooth flow through the clinical process. Assist patients with fitting and adjustment of back braces when prescribed, providing guidance and support as needed. Perform other assigned duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the healthcare team. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School Diploma or GED required, no prior experience necessary. Ability to perform effectively in a high-stress, physically demanding environment. Understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA confidentiality and infection control measures. Proven track record in delivering exemplary customer service, with strong client relationship management and job knowledge. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in manual dexterity, with precise control and steady hand movements. Demonstrated empathy towards patients and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Basic proficiency in medical terminology and clinical procedures.
