Atlanta Highway, Cumming, GA 30040 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position involves working in outpatient medical clinic. The Certified Medical Assistant will assist with patient assessments, manage medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. We are a family practice and the office maintains the family care and environment not only with patients but with staff as well. Come join us in providing patient care with a difference. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations. Manage medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards. Administer medications as prescribed. Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance. Support patients with disabilities by providing necessary accommodations during visits. Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment. Take the inventory, restock the rooms and prepare patient rooms for the next patient Take calls, make appointments, relay messages to the patients as per the provider’s patient care plans and treatments Scanning and faxing the documents Other duties related but not limited to the medical office Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Fresh graduates can be considered Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous. eClinical Works is our EMR and experience with that is a benefit Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care best practices. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
