Role:

Trident Primary Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Clinical Care Team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting patient care and the overall patient experience. From taking vitals to assisting with procedures, you’ll help ensure that every patient receives the high-quality care they deserve — all while working alongside a passionate and supportive team. Key Responsibilities:

Support providers with patient care tasks such as vitals, medication administration (per approved policy), specimen collection, and simple diagnostic testing. Assist in maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms and clinical areas. Document patient histories and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR) accurately and thoroughly. Administer injections, perform EKGs, and support in-office procedures. Assist with patient education, prescription refills, lab coordination, and follow-up communication under the supervision of licensed providers. Perform phlebotomy and coordinate lab tests including chain-of-custody where applicable. Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, HIPAA, and risk management policies. Maintain a patient-centered approach by delivering high-touch, courteous service. Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Active certification required from one of the following: CMA (AAMA) RMA (AMT) CCMA (NHA) NCMA (NCCT) Current AHA BLS (CPR) certification Proficient in English; Spanish fluency is a plus. 1+ year of experience with EMR systems and managed care settings. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care.
