BACK OFFICE

Medical Assistant. Our ideal candidate will have completed an accredited Medical Assisting program, have experience in an acute care setting, and is familiar with basic medical terminology. Being a growing office, attendance and flexibility is very important. Our position requires multitasking, attention to detail, excellent computer skills, being a team player, and being a fast learner. Must have good phone etiquette. This position requires travel between our satellite offices in Braselton (40%), Cumming (40%), and some days in Gainesville/Dialysis (20%). We reimburse mileage at the highest allowable rate from the IRS. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Obtaining Vitals and patient rooming
• Medication Review and Refill Requests
• Appointment & Test Scheduling
• Answering Clinical line calls and documenting appropriately
• Responding to Patient Messages via our EMR system (EPIC)

• Patient Scheduling Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and customer service skills .
• Demonstrates communication skills.
• Demonstrates literacy in using computers and keyboarding.
• Skills in problem-solving, setting priorities, and using good judgment for decisions.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
• Current National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA)

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least one year of back office experience in a medical assistant position within an acute care facility.
• Clinical knowledge and/or training in Nephrology
• Familiarity in documenting in an electronic medical record system.

Use of EPIC a Plus.
