Medical Assistant-Primary Care Position Summary:
Georgia Mountains Health is a Federally Qualified Health Care (FQHC), Primary Care facility that is mission driven to provide access to care by providing professional, compassionate and affordable, quality healthcare to our communities. GMH Healthy Families in Chatsworth, GA is looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) for an immediate full-time 36 hour position, work schedule of 8am-6pm, 4 days per week. No nights, no weekends and closed major holidays. The ideal candidate has experience in primary care/family practice working with all ages. Duties include but not limited to: record patient medical histories, take vital statistics, collect specimens, give injections and draw blood and make detailed documentation. MA also prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments and assists physicians with procedures as needed. The MA will answer emails, voicemails and return patient calls in a timely manner. Coordinates and maintains in-bucket requests for prescription refills, test results, physician messages, etc. The candidate must also be comfortable with EMR database systems and general computer competency. Candidates must have good communication skills (both written and oral) and understand and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of one year experience in primary health care/family care preferred. CPR certification required Ability to speak Spanish highly desired. Satisfactory background check and drug test required.
Environmental/Occupational Exposure:
Exposure to blood and body fluids, hazardous material and communicable disease. Appropriate protective equipment will be readily available and provided.
Physical Demands:
