The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This role requires a solid understanding of medical terminology and excellent communication skills to provide exceptional patient service in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Duties Combination of front and mid-officce duties Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures. Room patients Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality. Enter patient information in EMR sytem Collect patient information, including vital signs when necessary. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and insurance. Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow in the office or hospital setting. Assist with insurance verification and billing processes as needed. Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies. Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards within the practice. Requirements Previous experience in a medical reception or administrative role is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology related to various specialties including PICU, outpatient care, inpatient services, OR procedures, X-Ray processes, and basic life support is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
