Medical Assistant Peach State Nephrology 619 S 8th St Ste 100, Griffin, GA 30224 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Measure and record vital signs of patients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling correspondence. Assist in medication administration as directed by healthcare providers. Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Support outpatient services by preparing patients for examinations and assisting during procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment. Demonstrate basic life support techniques when necessary. Understand coding processes for medical billing and documentation. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Apply knowledge of physiology to assist in patient care. Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in vital signs measurement and basic life support certification is required. Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
