Lafayette Position:
Georgia Mountains Health (GMH) is a Federally Qualified Health Care (FQHC), Primary Care facility that is mission driven to provide access to care by providing professional, compassionate and affordable, quality healthcare to our communities. GMH currently has an opening in Lafayette, GA, at the Naomi elementary school-based clinic for a full time (40 hours p/wk) Medical Assistant. The school-based clinic is open to the public and open all year; therefore, the ideal candidate is comfortable with all age ranges. This position is a dual role functioning as an MA and lite reception duties. Enjoy a life-work balanced schedule of four days per week, Monday-Thursday 7a-4:30p, giving you a long weekend every weekend! This position primarily works with children in a school-based setting but experience in primary care/family practice, working with all ages is preferred. Duties include but not limited to: record patient medical histories, take vital statistics, collect specimens, give injections and draw blood and make detailed documentation. MA also prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilize instruments and assists the Nurse Practitioner with procedures as needed. The MA will answer emails, voicemails and return patient calls in a timely manner. The candidate must also be comfortable with EMR database systems and general computer competency. Candidates must have good communication skills (both written and oral) and understand and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications:
Minimum of one year experience in primary health care/family care preferred. CPR certification required EMR Athena experience preferred Ability to speak Spanish highly desired. Satisfactory background check and drug test required.
Environmental/Occupational Exposure:
Exposure to blood and body fluids, hazardous material and communicable disease. Appropriate protective equipment will be readily available and provided
Physical Demands:
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Lifting up to 40 lbs and some carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.
