Job Overview:

The Medical Assistant (MA) will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, utilizing Epic EMR system efficiently, and assisting healthcare providers with various clinical tasks. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be friendly and professional at all times, and have at least 1 year of experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities:

Preparing the clinic area and supplying all patient exam rooms Preparing patients for physician’s visit Using EMR and documenting lab orders accurately Obtaining orders for medical refills Communicating with providers and patients in a respectful tone Returning patient calls or portal messages within a 24-hour time frame After appointments are completed scheduling patients for future appointments Follow clinic protocols and demonstrating team membership skills Working in satellite clinics (Gonzales, Walker, or Zachary)
