Since opening in 2009, Sugarloaf Pediatrics has provided compassionate, expert care for children in a warm and welcoming environment. We are committed to providing comprehensive, expert primary care for adults and children in South Deerfield and surrounding communities through the centralization of these two practices. Job Summary We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant II to support our Family Medicine practice onsite, Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM. As true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
- Preparing patient charts
- Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
- Assisting during minor surgeries and procedures
- Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
- Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
- Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]

- Comply with all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations.
- Ability to take vital signs and manual blood pressure, as well as collect blood samples and other specimens.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Managing one’s own time and the time of others.
