Medical Assistant Midas Research 125 Parker Hill Avenue, Boston, MA 02120 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in various specialties, including inpatient care and dermatology. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient visits. Record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Support patient care activities in a Level I Trauma Center setting, including assisting in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions. Coordinate with other healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal care delivery. Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. Skills Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge. Experience or familiarity with hospital medicine practices. Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on empathy and communication. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as inpatient settings or trauma centers. Knowledge of dermatology practices is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
