Medical Assistant – Adult Neurology Job Description Join the Department of Neurology as a Medical Assistant in a role where you support physicians by handling vitals, rooming patients, scheduling, and registering patients. In this dynamic position, you will de-escalate interactions with patients professionally and calmly, ensuring a smooth experience for individuals with various neurological conditions. Responsibilities Check-in and check-out procedures Measure and record vital signs Room patients and prepare them for examinations Perform basic lab tests Take calls from patients and monitor new and return patient contact Record and update patient medical histories in the
EPIC EHR
system Monitor supply inventory to ensure adequate supplies and equipment availability Clean and stock exam rooms as necessary Essential Skills Certified Medical Assistant – CCMA/RMA Proficiency in
EPIC EHR
system software At least 1 year of experience as a medical assistant Patient registration and scheduling Medical assisting skills Phlebotomy expertise Additional Skills & Qualifications Completion of a Medical Assistant program Updated Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience in electronic health record management Skills in appointment scheduling Work Environment Work in a clinical setting within the Neuro Department. Enjoy a supportive environment that values inclusivity and collaboration. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
