Full-time // 40 hours per week // Monday – Friday IR Centers at Urology Associates of SE NC is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab in Leland, NC . We are leading minimally invasive procedures across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting. As a Medical Assistant , you will be responsible for providing support to ensure efficient operation of our outpatient center. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Required) BLS Certification (Or Willingness to obtain) 2 years experience as a medical assistant (Required) English (Required) CCMA or NRCMA (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

Interview patients and document basic medical history Take vitals pre/post-op and document findings in their patient chart Organize, authorize, and schedule appointments for referrals Send prescriptions electronically, by fax, or by verbally calling them in Assist during medical examinations Place IVs prior to procedure Triage patient calls, assess the problem, consult with the physician Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills:

Proven working experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems ( Modmed preferred ) IR Centers is an equal opportunity employer.
