Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patientcare. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities andmoderately complex administrative, operational, and customersupport assignments. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

This CenterWell location is at 1425 Patton Ave, Asheville, 28806This Position qualifies for a $2000.00 Sign on Bonus The MedicalAssistant performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms,obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration,phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screeningtests, sterilizing/cleaning equipment, maintaining examinationrooms, and documenting information into the electronic medicalrecords system. Collaborates closely with Physicians and Advanced PracticeProviders. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what activecertification allows. Decisions typically focus on interpretation of area/departmentpolicy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectationsand quality standards, but has latitude over prioritization/timing,and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies and procedures that allow opportunityfor interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
