This role is essential in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience with medical scheduling and coding. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process efficiently. Schedule patient appointments and manage the office calendar to optimize workflow. Maintain accurate patient records, including filing and updating information in electronic health record systems. Assist with medical coding using ICD-9 codes for billing purposes. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding services offered. Support healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms and assisting during patient examinations. Ensure compliance with all office policies and procedures, including confidentiality regulations. Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and managing office supplies. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems, particularly ICD-9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff. Proficiency in using office software systems for scheduling and record management. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
