Avance Care is dedicated to elevating the standard of healthcare. As one of North Carolina’s largest networks of independent primary care practices, we offer comprehensive services to support the physical, mental, and emotional health of our patients. As a Medical Assistant , you will play a vital role in patient care, assisting our healthcare providers and ensuring a positive, efficient experience for every patient. This is a full-time role involving 8-hour weekday shifts . The position primarily works with one provider, so we are looking for an adaptable team player who is willing to contribute wherever needed. Our clinic operates in a busy, fast-paced environment , and we seek a candidate who thrives under such conditions. We offer a comprehensive benefits package available on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
Selected Responsibilities:
Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms Triage patients as necessary Administer vaccines and injections Record patient data prior to the physician’s visit Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures Administer medications Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed Maintain proper disinfection protocols Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider Candidates should preferably have one of the following certifications: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT, along with at least one year of Medical Assistant experience .
