Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs clerical, organizational and communication functions. Provides personal, and basic care to patients assigned to the intensive care and intermediate unit under the direct supervision of a RN. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe patient environment and performs job responsibilities in a safe and timely manner. The clinical assistant also performs functions such as related to transporting patients, equipment, specimens and other items within the hospital, along with entering orders and answering telephones. EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Nursing Assistant I course approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Current listing with the NC Division of Facility Services Registry as a Nursing Assistant I.
BLS certification required:
recertification required bi-annually. Proficient in keyboard operations and basic computer applications. Ability to operate standard office machines.
Preferred:
Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital operations upon hire.
