The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and a thorough understanding of physiology, as well as experience in various clinical settings, including urgent care and inpatient environments. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical staff in delivering efficient healthcare services. Duties Patient check in and registration using EMR. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis. Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for insurance purposes. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the clinic or hospital environment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred. Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center operations is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding systems is advantageous. Strong understanding of internal medicine practices and hospital medicine is desirable. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, particularly in urgent care settings. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential.
