Our team is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who is passionate about healthcare and excels in a fast-paced clinical setting. Position Summary The Medical Assistant performs administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a medical provider. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, authorizations, incoming and outgoing faxes, insurance verifications, maintaining, and updating medical records. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, preparing treatment rooms, assisting providers with materials, instruments, and equipment during exams, sterilizes and cleans instruments, maintains inventory of supplies, and ensures efficient patient flow. Essential Functions Patient Intake

• taking height, weight, vitals, medical history Procedure Room Assisting
• managing fluoroscopy machine, documenting procedure notes, prepping room for physician Diagnostic Imaging
• authorizing, scheduling, obtaining results via websites Telephone Triage Outgoing referrals Medical Supply Ordering and Inventory Control EMR data entry Patient Education Urine Drug Screening Pulling NC Controlled Substance Databases Documentation of Lab Results Fitting DME such as back braces and TENS units Patient Education of DME Utilizing x-ray for diagnostic imaging in clinic Scheduling Occasional responsibilities include but are not limited: check-in, check-out, collecting and posting payments, handling new patient referrals Monitor outgoing referrals Preform chart audits as needed Travel is required between our clinics based on the patient load.

Competencies EHR Medical Terminology Customer Service Technical Capacity/Analytical Skills Communication Proficiency/Organizational Skills Requirements 1-2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (specialty experience preferred) 1-2+ years of experience with electronic medical records (EMR) CPR certification (required) Medical Assistant certification preferred, not required (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) Benefits We offer a competitive total compensation package (401k, medical, vision, dental benefits, LTD/STD, life insurance, paid holidays and time off, no weekends, etc.).
