The Medical Assistant works with the physicianand other members of the primary or specialty care team byperforming a variety of clinical and administrative patient-relatedduties, in the “Front Office” or “Back Office”. The medicalassistant also works to fulfill a variety of patient needs andensures smooth patient flow within the department, includinggathering, organizing and documenting healthcare data information.

Additionally, if assigned to the Call Center, the MA will beresponsible for answering and routing patient calls, scheduling ofpatient appointments per department guidelines. The medicalassistant reports directly to the practice manager, RN supervisoror director.

Education:

Completion of Medical Assistant Program•

AccreditedRequiredExperience:

1 year Ambulatory Preferred 1 year Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

PreferredCertifications/Licensures:

BLS

• Basic Life Support
• American Heart Association
• Certification Required Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Preferred or CMA
• Certified Medical Assistant Preferred and Specialty areas may have additional requirements Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT)

PreferredSkills:

Strong written and verbal communications skills. Bilingual preferred. Completion and documentation of California requirements withdemonstrated competency for venipuncture/phlebotomy

Pay Range:

$31.60

67HourlyOffer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevantexperience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the localmarket if hired outside of the Bay Area.
