The Medical Assistant (MA) provides both clinical and administrative support in a healthcare setting, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. MAs assist physicians and other healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and medical documentation. They also handle various administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing billing and insurance information.

This position requires travel between office locations and attendance at occasional events as part of your regular duties.
Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Support Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and medical treatments. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate. Prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort. Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis, blood draws (phlebotomy), EKGs, and other diagnostic tests. Prepare and maintain medical equipment and instruments, ensuring proper sterilization techniques are followed. Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions. Maintain accurate and updated patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Administrative Support Schedule patient appointments, coordinate office visits, and handle patient calls. Answer phones, manage messages, and relay information to medical staff. Verify patient insurance and billing information, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed. Process medical billing, including coding and submitting insurance claims. Maintain inventory of medical supplies, ordering new supplies when necessary. Handle medical office correspondence, including appointment reminders and patient communication. Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Assist with the management of patient flow, ensuring minimal wait times and efficient office operation. Other Duties Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay current with medical procedures and healthcare regulations. Support other healthcare professionals and team members as needed.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Medical Assisting or equivalent certification preferred. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) required. CPR and First Aid certification required. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and common clinical procedures. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in patient records and administrative tasks. Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to provide exceptional care to diverse patient populations.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods and assist with patient mobility. Good manual dexterity for performing clinical tasks and using medical equipment. Be able to travel between locations
