The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within our clinic setting. This position involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient services. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to support patient needs, particularly in a Level I Trauma Center environment, and will be instrumental in enhancing the overall patient experience. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Perform basic life support (BLS) as necessary. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting medical history. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment. Support geriatric patients with specialized care needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical assistant role preferred, particularly in outpatient settings or Level I Trauma Centers. Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology. Proficiency in medication administration protocols. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on empathy and communication. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
