The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in an office setting, ensuring that all patients receive the highest level of service and support. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to facilitate patient assessments, treatments, and follow-up care.
Locations:
Hackensack & Wayne, NJ Day & Hours:
M-F 8am-4pm, alternating Saturday 8am-1pm. Subject to change depending on location.
Job Duties:
- Only apply if you have experience as a Medical Assistant
- Assisting physician with patient exams, procedures and treatments.
- Taking patient medical history, recording vital signs (i.e. blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and updating patient records.
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, and sending samples to labs.
- Assisting front desk duties such as greeting & checking in patients, scheduling appointments & scanning reports as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHRs), ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
- Explaining procedures, treatments, and tests being performed to patients, offering support and answering any questions.
Education Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
Experience Qualifications:
- 2 years Minimum of Physician Office setting required.
- Previous experience in a cardiologist office setting is beneficial.
- Must be able to draw blood.
- Must manual blood pressure.
Certifications and Licenses:
BLS Certification a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of venipuncture and EKG.
- Requires thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to work independently with minimal instructions.
- Excellent communication and telephone skills.
- Must be a multi-task, punctual, reliable, team player individual.
- Must be able to multi-task.
