Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (Bilingual English/Spanish) to join our Specialty Division at El Nuevo San Juan (ENSJ). Located at our hub on Southern Boulevard, our Multi-Specialty services will allow the medical assistant to provide support to providers in a variety of specialties including but not limited to: Allergy Cardiology Endocrinology Gastroenterology Nephrology Neurology Ophthalmology Otolaryngology Podiatry Pulmonary Medicine Rheumatology.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma required. Medical Assistant Certificate or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required. 0-1 year of related experience in the healthcare sector. Bilingual English/Spanish is required. Flexible work schedule Proficiency with computers and software. Strong communication skills. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-volume environment. Kindness, compassion, and patient-centered work ethic.
Key Duties:
Prepares examination rooms, stocks inventory, maintains autoclave, and sterilizes. instruments. Obtains vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history and accurately records in medical records. Assists providers during all aspects of exams, treatments, and ambulatory procedures (including Podiatry). Registers and verifies patient demographics. Maintains room logs. Schedules appointments and recalls patients for required services.
Starting Compensation:
Minimum:
$21.00/hour ($43,680 annually);
Maximum:

Insurance Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Candidates must possess availability to work onsite based out of our Bronx Community Health Center, El Nuevo San Juan. Candidates must possess availability to work shifts that include 4 days of the week and mandatory Saturdays, 8am-5pm/9am-6pm. (Day off during the week is flexible to discuss based on departmental needs and individual availability)
