Medical Assistant Position Available In Dutchess, New York

Job Summary The Field-Based Medical Assistant role is pivotal in supporting our client by ensuring the health and well-being of complex Medicare patients. The position involves assisting mobile clinicians in conducting comprehensive in-home assessments, identifying healthcare needs, and coordinating complex care plans. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for members. Strong customer service skills are essential. Key Responsibilities Work under the direct supervision of field-based clinicians. Communicate with healthcare providers via messaging, video conference, and mobile devices. Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs. Facilitate physical exams using a mobile device and perform diagnostic tests as permitted by state law. Operate, calibrate, and maintain point-of-care laboratory equipment. Perform EKGs. Assist NP/PAs in daily mobile care delivery functions. Document patient information accurately. Restock mobile care delivery supplies. Qualifications Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience. Fluency in English. Proficient computer skills for electronic health record documentation. Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills. Cultural competency – ability to interact effectively with patients and families. Fluency in Spanish preferred. Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Additional medical education or training is preferred. Additional Requirements Basic Life Support certification required; ongoing maintenance is necessary. Must be able to perform tasks in patient homes and on a computer, with a quiet work environment. Able to walk several flights of stairs and lift and carry equipment up to 30 pounds. Regular travel within the region is required, necessitating a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
