MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Buffalo Medical Associates Kenmore, NY 14223 Our growing medical practice is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team of Medical Assistants. We are looking for someone with soft skills who can multi-task, who adheres to established rules and procedures, and who can communicate clearly with patients, physicians, and other team members. A Medical Assistant will also assist physicians with medical screening examinations, facilitate interviewing patients, document patient information, perform administrative activities and help prepare patients for examination.

Responsibilities:

Communicate consistent and clear medical information to patients and colleagues. Be comfortable communicating with patients and colleagues about sensitive medical matters. Keep patient information confidential and maintain appropriate levels of patient confidentiality. Coordinate medical care among physicians, nurses, and other health professionals. Maintain records for medical care providers. Record patients’ use of medications. Diagnostic Testing Rooming Patient Checking Patients In – verifying insurance Checking Patient Out – collecting copays & deductibles

$19.00 – $21.00 per hour
