Medical Assistant/Receptionist Kenmore Medical Office Kenmore, NY 14223 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, flexible, and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is essential in providing excellent patient service and maintaining the smooth operation of our medical office. This position starts at 7:30 am and ends between 5:00 and 5:30 pm 4 days a week. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures. Manage medical scheduling, ensuring efficient appointment bookings and follow-ups. Confirm appointments and follow scheduling requirements.

Collect payment for services:

copays and deductibles Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Utilize Medent for data entry and management. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care. Cross train on rooming a patient and completing intakes. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient service best practices is essential. Proficient in MEDENT is a plus! Knowledge of Medicare processes and health information management is a plus. Strong typing skills and attention to detail are required for accurate data entry. 50 WPM minimum requirement. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. High school degree and reliable transportation required.
