Medical Assistant Samiti Technology Inc. Greenvale, NY 11548 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within our medical facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Support dermatology procedures by preparing necessary tools and materials. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient service. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Assist in coding for billing purposes as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology to understand patient needs effectively. Experience or familiarity with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) practices is a plus. Proficiency in coding for medical billing is advantageous. Excellent patient service skills to foster a welcoming environment. Understanding of hospital medicine protocols, especially within a Level I Trauma Center setting. Ability to perform basic tasks such as taking vital signs accurately. Knowledge of inhalation therapies or treatments related to respiratory care is beneficial.
