Busy Manhattan medical practice seeks a full-time medical assistant. An applicant must have excellent phone and communication skills. A self-motivated, outgoing individual who enjoys patient care is desirable. This individual must be organized, have excellent reading and writing skills, be computer literate, familiar with EHR and able to adapt to changing medical office requirements. The hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Benefits include health insurance, vacation, holidays and 401k.

Job Requirements:

+ Assist physician with patient care during office visits and surgical procedures. + Drawing blood, sending samples to labs. + Review dictations and coordinate correspondence. + Secure insurance authorization for tests and prescriptions. + Maintain patient records utilizing the EHR system. + Manage medical supplies. + Backup other staff with scheduling and other patient requests.
