Job Description
Move forward with Volt! Volt is hiring for an Outpatient Administrative Specialist in Syracuse, NY . As an Outpatient Administrative Specialist you will: Schedule and coordinate outpatient procedures (e.g., EBUS, bronchoscopies, stent placements). Obtain insurance authorizations and ensure proper documentation. Manage patient records, referrals, and physician dictation. Answer phones, schedule appointments, and verify insurance. Prepare charts and maintain accurate EMR data. Room patients, take vitals, and update medication lists. Assist with exams and procedures under clinician supervision. Perform basic tests (e.g., fingersticks, urine dips, 6-minute walk tests). Stock and clean exam rooms; manage medical supplies. Support multiple physicians and rotate coverage as needed. Communicate with patients regarding procedures and follow-ups. Ensure compliance with insurance and clinical protocols. This is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. The ideal candidate will have : Associate’s Degree or relevant college coursework. Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in a medical setting. Completion of a Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program, or 1 year of direct medical field experience. Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross). Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Pay Rate :
$17.50 – $29.76 per hour •Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
