  • Perform duties including, but not limited to ADLs(bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting), vital signs, I &O, 12-lead ECG, bladder scan, and hygiene. /n
  • Familiarity withusing: Wheelchair, EKG equipment, patient assistive devices, andpatient care equipment specific to assigned population. /n
  • Conducts chart audits as directed by the nurse manager. /n
  • Assists with patient data collection and reporting. /n
  • Maintainsthe patient record (in written and/or electronic format). /n
  • Orders supplies for the department as directed by the nursemanager. /n
  • Facilitates communication and efficient unitoperations. /n
  • Orients newly hired STNAs and/or clinicaladministrative assistants. /n
  • Within the administrative assistantrole, provides clinical, reception, communication, and guestrelations support using verbal, electronic, and written techniquesto maintain the operations of the assigned area. /n
  • Performsduties as assigned for Swing population. /n
  • Participates inunit-driven patient experience initiatives set forth bymanagement/system leadership. /n /n Additional Responsibilities /n/n
  • Performs other duties as assigned. /n
  • Complies with allpolicies and standards. /n
  • For specific duties andresponsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the departmentduring orientation. /n
  • Must abide by all requirements to safelyand securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for ourpatients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policiesand procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI inthe workplace. /n Qualifications Education
  • High School Equivalent/ GED (Required) Work Experience
  • 1 years Vocational education asa nursing assistant (Required)
  • 1 years Experience as a NursingAssistant (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Basicpatient care skills. (Preferred proficiency)
  • Effectivecommunication with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds.(Required proficiency)
  • Able to organize changing workassignments. (Required proficiency)
  • Flexibility. (Requiredproficiency)
  • Patient focused (Required proficiency)
  • Positive,can-do attitude; self-motivated and willing to learn (Requiredproficiency)
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.(Required proficiency)
